I Cried Out And No One Answered

60

By Eternal Evolution

I cried out and no one answered.
I sought yet never found.
I gave myself unto thee.
And was crushed upon the ground.

My dreams once were vivid.
My soul a ray of light.
Now I stand alone and lost.
Wandering blindly in the night.

I hold my hand outstretched.
Waiting for a reassuring touch.
Hope now is fading.
Why did I expect so much?

I close my eyes to rest.
Hoping for some peace at last.
My heart forever broken.
Dwelled too long in the past.

Thank you Beberlee

Kikkibabes I'm slowly trying to move away from my past but it still haunts me. Letting go sometimes is the hardest thing to do.

Alone and sad, don't give up. Somewhere, anywhere there is hope. Thanks for sharing this feeling of emotion.

Succinct, piercing, a deep glimpse behind the veil. Beautifully done.
