I cried out and no one answered.
I sought yet never found.
I gave myself unto thee.
And was crushed upon the ground.
My dreams once were vivid.
My soul a ray of light.
Now I stand alone and lost.
Wandering blindly in the night.
I hold my hand outstretched.
Waiting for a reassuring touch.
Hope now is fading.
Why did I expect so much?
I close my eyes to rest.
Hoping for some peace at last.
My heart forever broken.
Dwelled too long in the past.

Thank you Charles, I wrote this one restless night while on the computer with nothing to do.
This sounds just like me, I was also stuck in the past but I'm finally moving on.. Amazing hub thanks for sharing this.. X

Kikkibabes I'm slowly trying to move away from my past but it still haunts me. Letting go sometimes is the hardest thing to do.
