Tick Tock So Goes The Clock
62
Tick tock so goes the clock; another second of life is docked.
The hands they count the minutes by, as one by one we slowly die.
Tick tock so goes the clock; each second mortality is mocked.
The hours come and quickly unfold, as one by one we all grow old.
Tick tock so goes the clock; hours pass and death it knocks.
Time flies when you’re having fun, and quickly out it all must run.
Tick tock so goes the clock; death has come the door is locked.
Eyes now close in endless sleep, into eternity the sprit creeps.
Tick tock so stops the clock.

Wow, this is a very powerful, poignant poem. As I was reading, I became aware of the "tick tock" of the clock in the background...excellent read!
Such a strong and beautiful poem... Time flies by and before we know we are at the end of our life's journey!
Thanks for sharing this :)
What a great poem. Your very creative
nicely put but the otehr point of view is that every moment we live life to its fullest we are also mocking death by letting the reaper know that in every living moment he has absolutely no control over us
Wow, I am in awe. You summed up such a simple, yet powerful, fact of life in the easy, loping pace of such a well-written poem. It would be an understatement to say I loved it, I simply can't wait to read more! Bravo!

The clock says tick-tock, life is to be lived,
And I make the best of this sacred gift.
So busy living and I do think it best
To take no mind of the approach of death.
Fully live the moment, carpe diem
Is to pass a life of total freedom.
